Make a French
Connection
Over the past
years, students from Toulouse, Paris and Provence
have visited SF through French organizations that
promote teaching French students about American
culture, and giving them a chance to improve their
English. They stay with our families for 2 weeks,
do group tours during the day, and spend the rest
of their visit with their American host families.
Next year, they would like to welcome our students
to France to have the same wonderful opportunity.
Students from Toulouse will be coming here from
April 5-18. If enough of our students are
interested, we will have a trip to Toulouse during
spring break. Our students will stay with the same
French families, visit Lourdes, Carcassonne,
historic Toulouse, and Albi. The cost of the trip
will be about $1500, depending on air fare. We are
also looking to have exchanges later in the year
with the Paris and Provence schools, with our
students traveling there in June for about the
same cost, again depending on the airfare. If you
might be interested in hosting a student next
year, and/or participating in one of the
exchanges, please contact Linda Memmesheimer at
630-848-1232 or by email at jlegm@yahoo.com |
