Get Ready for the ACT-Free Practice Exams and
Workshops provided by Kaplan at the Wheaton Public Library!
ACT Practice
Test Saturday, February 11 from 1 - 4:30 p.m. Register online at

A practice test is crucial to ward off those test day jitters and
to reveal how you may score on the "real thing." Don't be
surprised! Come and experience first-hand what test day will be
like. An instructor from Kaplan will provide a proctored ACT
practice test and return scores (by mail) with analyzed results.

admissions officers expect from an applicant's high school
experience, as well as factors that determine admissions decisions.

ACT Practice Test at
Winfield Public Library
Saturday, February 18, 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Presented by
Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions, this test simulates actual ACT
test conditions. Be on time and bring an approved calculator, #2
pencils, and your own healthy snack if you choose. Test results
will be returned to students individually, provided all information
is filled out accurately on the registration card at the time of
the test. Please register using our online calendar of events at www.winfield.lib.il.us or
by calling (630) 653-7599.

from the Principal
Congratulations
to the SFHS Cheerleading Team on their 2nd place finish at the SCC
Cheer Competition last Saturday. The team competed on Sunday as
well where they placed 2nd at the ICCA Competition. In addition, they
qualified for the ICCA State Competition!
The
cheerleaders compete this Saturday at Rolling Meadows HS in the IHSA
State Qualifier at approximately 1:35 p.m. Good luck cheerleaders!

Pack The Place-Feb 4th
Join us for a
great night on Saturday, February 4th when the Spartans clash with
the Marmion Cadets. Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 pm in the Kuhn
Theatre followed by dinner in the Student Union. Basketball games
will be played throughout the night. Enjoy the music of the Pep Band.
Catch the Dance and Cheer team's latest routines and take a chance to
compete in the halftime competitions. Additional information can be

Annual Blood Drive 2-7-12
Our annual all school blood drive will be Tuesday, February 7th.
Giving blood is a contribution to the entire community; it's the
right thing to do.
A few facts:
- 1
unit of blood can help 3 people
- Only
5% of eligible people donate
- Every
3 seconds someone needs blood
If your student
will be donating they need to:
- Be
16 years or older.
- Have
a permission slip signed in black ink by a parent.
- Weigh
at least 110 pounds.
- Eat
a big breakfast the morning of the drive.
- Bring
a photo ID.
- Sign
up with Mr. Lynch in Room 1107.

Coat Drive
During Catholic Schools' Week St. Francis will be sponsoring a used
coat drive. Bring your coats to the athletic events or just drop
them off anytime during the week in the bins located in the
atrium. The coats will be donated to Heartland Alliance, an organization
supporting refugees in the US. Many of these refugees come from
warm climates and do not have warm winter coats. We all know how
cold Chicago winters can be so dig out your closets and show your
support!

3rd Annual Spirit & Pride
Golf Outing
It's time to
get our plans underway for our 3rd Annual Spirit and Pride Golf
Outing. This year it will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at
White Eagle Golf Club. Our first meeting will be held on Thursday,
January 26th at 7:00 at Dan & Laurie Donati's. Contact Don Donati
