Congratulations to two of our senior students
who were recently selected for Good Citizen
Awards. Tom Malouf has been named as the St.
Francis recipient of the Daughters of the American
Revolution Good Citizen Award and Alex Polkow will
be the recipient of the Sons of the American
Revolution Good Citizen Award. These
students were nominated by the faculty and then
selected by a vote of the members of the senior
class. They will be recognized for their
awards at our spring Honors Night
program.

| Fall Play -
Parlor Games
November 7th -
9th Our Fall Play, Parlor Games, written
and directed by Mr. Jim Wall opens tomorrow,

he's dead. He drags his poor wife Tricia
into this joke and all kinds of interesting people
show up in person as well as those driving thru
the funeral parlor's newly installed (and not
quite fully operational yet) Drive Thru Video.
There are eight other productions of Parlor
Games being shown around the country this fall.

Student Activities/Fall
Play Tickets are available at the

On November 13th we
will MIX IT UP at LUNCH
What is Mix It UP at
Lunch? On November 13th, we will
encourage our students to join hundreds of
thousands of students around the country and stir
things up in the school cafeteria. The event
encourages students to identify, challenge &
cross the social boundaries that divide schools
& communities.
As at many schools, the cafeteria at
lunchtime is a social map of our whole school. A
map criss-crossed with boundaries. These
boundaries can create divisions and
misunderstanding in schools and can lead to
bullying, harassment and violence. But by working
to cross the barriers students can help create an
environment that is characterized by less conflict
and instead by more tolerance.
Please encourage your children to see what
happens if they mix it up at lunch and swap seats
in the cafeteria, step out of their comfort zone
and sit somewhere new, with someone
new. | |
