Congratulations and good luck to the band who was selected to perform down state for the IHSA Volleyball Tournament at ISU this Saturday. They will be playing at the 3A and 4A Consolation and Championship matches.

Stan Bobowski has been nominated by the Chicago Sun-Times for top player in the second round of the playoffs! Stan had 24 carries, 220 yards, three TDs, including an 83-yarder, and returned an interception 55 yards to set up another score in a 42-20 win over Nazareth. Football:
Congrats to our team on a great 2nd round win over Nazareth!
Our quarterfinal football game versus Montini will be played at Montini on Saturday, November 15th at 1pm.

To show your support, the student body is asking everyone to wear SPARTAN BLUE!

Swimming:
Good Luck Swimmers at Sectionals!
Sectionals will be held at Neuqua Valley Saturday ~ 11:30am warm-ups; 1pm finals

Delayed Start ~ Thursday, November 20th

On Thursday, November 20, St. Francis will follow the Delayed Start Bell Schedule in order to allow the faculty and staff to attend an important benefits meeting before classes begin. Students are to report to homeroom by 9:00 am. There are no zero hour classes.

Congratulations!

We are pleased to announce that Maria Diamond has been selected as 2008-09 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholars. Students recognized by the NHRP are at least one-quarter Hispanic/Latino and have achieved a minimum PSAT/NMSQT/PAA score for their region. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are designated as Scholars, and those with GPAs of 3.0 to 3.40 as Honorable Mentions.
