Congratulations and Good Luck to
the Varsity Football Team as they gear up for
the semifinal match vs. Kankakee this Saturday
at St. Francis at 1:00
pm.
Spartan Blue Donuts are now
available every Friday at Dunkin Donuts on County
Farm Road thanks to co-owner Todd Shaw
'89. WGN radio's Kathy O'Malley and
Judy Markey talked with senior, Matt DeAngelo,
during an appearance at the Morton Arboretum last
Friday. Matt was selected for the station's
Hometown Hero Award for his work in helping create
a group called Lisle Teens With Character.
This group's mission is to show that teens can
make a difference. Great job Matt! On
behalf of the Faculty and Staff, we wish everyone
a safe and blessed Thanksgiving
Holiday.
Sincerely,

| Notes from the
Wellness Center
In light of the current outbreak of pertussis
(whooping cough) in Evanston, IL we would
like to take this opportunity to provide you
with information on pertussis and some tips
you can use to help promote healthy habits to
prevent the spread of this and other
illnesses.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practice which provides advice and guidance to the
CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
recommends the Tdap booster (tetanus, diphtheria
and pertussis) for those ages 11-18 and also
adults ages 19-64 if they have not had a booster
in ten years. For more information on
pertussis see http://www.idph.state.il.us/public/hb/hbpertus.htm
Please have your student watch this as
well. Donna Hoscheit
