EVERGREEN CLUB

Results of Evergreens Envirothon Competition the week April 6th.
Our two Envirothon Teams did well this past week at the Northeastern Regional competition.
Team 1 composed of Sarah Cayer, Nicole Chimienti, Nick Gedvilas, Billy Southwell and Michael Southwell took 2nd in DuPage County and 14th for the Region (out of 46 teams).
Team 2 composed of James Dunlea, Kit McDonnell, Ray Rivera, Morgan Wisted, and Meghan Wagner took 4th in DuPage County and 18th for the Region.
Both teams worked hard to prepare for this tough competition studying concepts within soils, wildlife, forestry, aquatics, and the current topic for the year estuaries. Teams competed in a written portion for each topic listed as well as a lab/field portion and finally a presentation concerning estuary rehabilitation and restoration.
